The Automotive Communications Council (ACC) engages marketing and communications professionals in the Automotive Aftermarket Industry. We provide a unique forum for learning and professional development, achieved through idea sharing, collaboration, and networking with like-minded individuals.F ounded in 1941, the Automotive Communications Council is the oldest continuously operating council in the aftermarket, and is evolving to meet today’s demand for constant learning and development. Our dynamic membership, representing aftermarket suppliers, distributors, retailers and service providers, allows us to participate in the continued growth of our industry.
Uniquely operated by our membership, we are actively engaging our members to help make the ACC a successful organization, through peer mentoring, educational offerings, webinar courses, and our annual conference to provide additional learning and networking opportunities. Our newly designed Learning Tracks are designed to encourage peer mentoring and a forum for learning outside the scope of your everyday job responsibilities.
ACC Meetings have given me many ideas I can put into action to help Dayco’s marketing efforts. The meetings also give me a chance to engage with some really smart industry experts. I wouldn’t miss an ACC meeting.
The Automotive Communications Council Conference was probably the most valuable two and half days I spent all year, well worth the time spent and the price of admission. If you are in a marketing department in the automotive aftermarket industry, don't even think about it - just go. It is a fantastic opportunity to network and meet peers in the industry. The speakers provided an excellent educational opportunity and were very entertaining.
Networking with peers outside your organization drives better decision-making for your organization. The Automotive Communications Council explores sales and marketing topics we self-select as important to our companies and the in-depth discussions develop new and valuable insights. It's hard to put a price tag on this type of invaluable experience and information.
The networking element of ACC membership is extremely valuable to me. The ACC has introduced me to other automotive industry marketing professionals in a setting (annual conference) that allows us to comfortably share our challenges and successes and learn from each other. I have always learned something new at the conferences, and I especially enjoy the technicians’ panel discussions. They have provided great insight into what types of marketing are mostly likely to appeal to these customers and ultimately be the most successful.
