 ACC President Tom Marx, The Marx Group, welcomed attendees to the 2008 Spring Meeting in Charlotte, N.C., April 28-30.

Nearly 40 automotive communication professionals learned the latest in marketing and communication trends at the meeting.

Greg Mayo, Human Resource Solutions, Inc. kicked off the meeting presenting, "Millenials: The New Work Force."

Joe Gibbs Racing opened their doors for an exclusive tour and panel discussion with their engineers.

 

A great time was had by all on a boat tour of nearby Lake Norman.

Day two was kicked off by Bob Barstow, ADN, who led a jobber panel discussion featuring Mark Pate, Auto Supply Co.;

Lynn Watkins, Battery & Ignition; and Tim Stone, Performance Automotive.

Motor Racing Network, Inc.'s Dave Hyatt presented, "What's Happening with Radio Today?"

Celia Klein of Grandstand Communications taught the group the amazing powers of motorsports marketing.

A private tour of the Childress Wineries in Lexington, N.C. was one of the organized activities planned by ACC for attendees.

Dinner at Mimosa Grill in downtown Charlotte capped off day two of the meeting.

A heavy-duty panel discussion, moderated by Katie Noga, SKF, featured Kate Miller, Heavy Duty Trucking;

Carol Birkland, Fleet Equipment; Tina Alread, AxleTech International; and Chuck Roberts, ASE.

Schaeffler Group's Bill Hanvey's Meet-A-Member presentation finished off with a raffle for his award-winning homemade salsa.

Incoming ACC President Katie Noga thanked outgoing President Tom Marx with the president's plaque and gavel.

The group recognized Doug Ferguson, Advanstar, as a lifetime honorary member of ACC, with a first-of-its-kind award.
