Thirty-two aftermarket communication professionals began the 2009 ACC meeting in Austin with a group discussion called,
“How’s Business?” led by ACC immediate past president Tom Marx, The Marx Group.

Mark Sprague of NGK Spark Plugs kicked off the presentations with, “How to Get People to the Party.”

Keynote speaker Steve Marks, Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc. presented, “Change Today, Win Tomorrow!”

Day two of the ACC meeting started with Chuck Udell of Essential Action Design Group presenting the proposal for “Aftermarket Recruiting Week.”

Aaron Manley Smith of Motorphilia talked about his experiences in “Becoming Part of a
n Online Community – A Success Story.”

Cohn & Wolfe Digital’s Brooke Hovey presented, “Join the Conversation: How Companies Can Effectively Participate in Social Media Today.”

ACC treasurer Tony Molla of ASE led a panel discussion with local Austin repair shop owners David Cox,
George Cox Automotive and Mike Gordon, Gordon Automotive, about their best business practices.

Bonnie Caver, Caver Public Relations, outlines guidelines for success in, “Forget Strategy, We Have to Stay in Business.”

Katie Noga, SKF, was thanked by the group for her dedication and service as ACC president, and
presented a plaque by immediate past president Tom Marx, The Marx Group.
